Felicity Birrell is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of practice. She graduated from Sydney University in 1994 and has since built a diverse and impressive clinical career. Felicity has gained extensive experience in musculoskeletal and psychological rehabilitation, hand therapy, and community occupational therapy. Throughout her career, she has worked as an Injury Management Advisor for multiple insurers, including CTP and Workers’ Compensation, and has held roles as an Injury Management Coordinator.
Her expertise extends into workplace case management across various sectors such as disability, aged care, hospital, retail, transport, and corporate environments. Felicity is passionate about ethical business practices and strives for excellence in delivering results. She is dedicated to creating comprehensive rehabilitation strategies that cater to both the physical and psychological needs of her clients.
Felicity’s specialties include conducting initial rehabilitation assessments, workplace assessments with functional education sessions, graduated return-to-work (RTW) programs, and ergonomic assessments, with a particular focus on hand injuries and musculoskeletal symptoms. She is also highly skilled in activities of daily living (ADL) assessments and has a strong knowledge of equipment and service provision within insurance schemes.
Her expertise covers a wide range of injuries, including orthopaedic, psychological, musculoskeletal, neurological, chronic pain, amputee, hand injuries, and whiplash, providing holistic care tailored to each individual’s needs.
